a self-love experiment
I asked my friends to send me an unfiltered picture of themselves which makes them feel empowered and loved. To my surprise, a lot of them came forward and were very excited to participate.
We live in the era of social media, where filters go beyond fun. As much as the social media is a boon to us, it often sets unrealistic beauty standards which leads to a pressure amongst people, to live up to them.
I love using filter, for fun, but when they become a way of looking like something we're not, it becomes a bane.
I hope my little attempt at promoting self love makes anyone who comes across it feel empowered and loved in their own skin.
